I am teaching a professional writing class this semester in which students will be learning about the forms and purposes of professional and public writing about the environment (our specific topic will be water quality, access, etc.) I am assigning them the task of researching a local agency that deals with the environment or water quality to learn about its forms of written communication and to identify any research/writing needs they can fulfill.
